During the run up to Christmas, I thought it would be a great idea to share with you all what we had bought for Lily and for our family Christmas! So here are some of the pieces the we have bought so far for Lily…
Little Bird by Jools Burgundy lace dress
This year, we wanted to buy Lily a couple of really nice dresses. She has suddenly grown out of her current collection. We fell in love with this dress when we saw it. I like this because it can be used for any occasion. It can be a sweet, everyday dress as well as a smart, occasion outfit. It’s also quite thick so teamed with some tights, it’s perfect in any weather!
The lace detail is beautiful. It also has a layer or material underneath so that it is less likely to tear if it gets caught in something. Also, the peter pan collar. This is the selling feature for me. It is such a cute feature, but is what makes it smart and what we wanted for Lily.
This dress is available from Mothercare and costs between £16-£18 (depending on size)
Junior J Blue dress by Jasper Conran at Debenhams
I have a huge soft spot for the girls collection from Jasper Conran at Debenhams. Lily has had quite a few items before from here and they are amazing.
The dress comes in a beautiful, quilted fabric which looks stunning on and also feels like a high quality buy. The cut of the dress allows for your child’s growth and I have found that the clothes from this collection last a long time and don’t shrink or fade in the wash.
This dress we chose because it looks really smart but also, because it matches her white, quilted blazer forms he same collection. I highly recommend going online and looking at this collection when completing your Christmas shopping.
This dress is available from Debenhams for £16-£17 (depending on size)
ELC Magnetic play centre
This is suitable for ages 3-6, but Lily has been really keen on learning her numbers and alphabet lately that I really want to encourage her.
This portable play set comes with magnetic letters and numbers, chalk and paper to become a complete learning centre. I also thought it would be an easy activity to take with us when we visit various family members over the Christmas season.
The magnetic chalk board also comes off as a separate piece for easy cleaning or single use.
The one we have purchased comes is a beautiful pink pallet colour, but you can buy different colours. We chose pink because Lily likes pink.
We picked this up for our local Mothercare for £20 (normally £25)
Mothercare duvet cover set
After a long day, I love nothing more than to snuggle up in bed with fresh sheets. We all love that “fresh sheet day” feeling so I thought we could get Lily a brand new bed set to snuggle into after all the excitement of Christmas day or possibly, on Christmas eve (haven’t quite decided yet!)
It has a simple pink design with white butterflies all over it so that it matches the rest of her bedroom. Plus, she loves all her butterflies!
We purchased this for £19.99 in Mothercare
Christmas shopping seems to be well under way for a lot of our friends and family, so I hope this little peek at what we have bought so far can offer you some inspiration!
