The holiday’s are always a great opportunity for the three of us to spend some time together. We’re all normally off doing something and getting back to basics and seeing each other is a great way to relax and really catch up with each other.
Over the Easter holiday’s, I have been catching up on some coursework, more internships, but most of all, just spending tie with Lily, just the two of us. We headed to one of our favourite places this week, the Roman Museum in Canterbury. It’s always a fun day out and reminds me of my visits there with my grandad.
We’ve also had fun trying out the new ice cream bar, Kaspas, in Canterbury. This was so much fun! Having something fun, sweet and new in town is great, although Lily and I struggled to finish the one ice cream we shared between us as well as the milkshake (we had a bit of a stuff your face with everything afternoon).
We also got a chance to spend time together as a family on a day trip to Wingham. It was great, but really busy and we spent the first five minutes chasing after her as she was so excited to see all the different animals.
She loved seeing the wolf (her favourite film is Into The Woods and love red riding hood) and immediately started jumping about and talking about it.
Finally, we have bought Lily a mini greenhouse! She loves watching Mr Bloom and watering the plants at her granny’s house, that we thought it would be great if she could do the same sort go thing at home.
The one we’ve bought came from Tiger and cost £20. Tiger also has various gardening accessories such as pots, tools, watering cans and seeds available to buy, all of which have a classic, yet modern twist to them. I’m excited to get this up and ready for the summer so keep an eye out for more updates on it!
We would love to know what you’ve all been up to this Easter. You can keep up to date with all our adventures on social media, just search for the Young Mummy Survival guide.
