With my first little girl, contractions started about 3 in the morning, but as she wasn’t due for two more weeks, I thought it was Braxton hicks. When I went to the hospital and was in early labour, I walked for hours round Westwood cross (shopping centre), went to hospital again. They said they would send me home as they were talking to me for a little while and weren’t making much of a fuss but my partner and mum said get an examination done and I did. I was 8 cm, thats was around 9 o’clock and after more walking around, I had her at 11:30 that night. Loved it as got to finally meet her.

With my second daughter I was 5 days over due and it was about 11:30 /12:00 in the evening and I started to get alot of uncomfortable pressure. When I got home my sister, partner and myself got to the hospital, all contractions were on my left hip and it was so un comfortable. They checked me when I got there and was 7 cm. Was fully dilated at 03:00 and had her at 3:20 and I loved it all over again.

I love it when im in labour as I know the wait is finally over and the moment of meeting your baby is nearly here!
