After a recent study, social scientists have discovered your name can influence your personality, our physical appearance and how we’re perceived by those around us. The question now though, is can your name affect your salary?
The study found that boys named Oscar are likely to scoop the largest salary, earning on average £37,786 per year. Following Oscar is our Royal name of George (37,342) and the UK’s most popular boys name, Oliver, coming in third with an average salary of £35,536 per year.
On the female front, those named Lily will earn on average £30,821 followed closely by Isabella (£28,935) and Ella (£28,623).
As published in the European Journal of Social Psychology, your forename alone is not the only factor that can increase your career success, your middle name also plays a part.Psychologists Wijnand AP Van Tilburg & Eric R Igou found that applicants who display a middle initial were perceived as smarter.
Sam Faiers and her family head out shopping
TOWIE start Sam has headed out for the first time since the birth of her beautiful baby daughter. Sam is already mum to young son Paul, looked stunning and is clearly doing well after the birth. We’ve loved her choice of car seat, taking the convertible Doona out for a stroll!
Help Poppy Today!
A fellow young mummy of our’s needs out help. Elle’s beautiful daughter Poppy is 2 years old and suffers from an extremely rare condition called neurofibromatosis type 1 which has unfortunately led to a tumour, growing behind Poppy’s left eye.
After nearly 60 rounds of chemotherapy, the tumour is still growing and doctors in the UK are not willing to operate on her. By raising £300,000 Poppy and her mum will be able to travel to the USA where Poppy can receive treatment.
The young parents’ community is a strong and loving one and I’m sure between us all, we can raise the money to give Poppy her chance.
Our favourite Chelsea girl now has a little princess of her own. Congratulations to Alexandra ‘Binky’ Felstead on the birth of her daughter, India Elizabeth!
A Royal Birthday!
Happy second birthday to the beautiful Princess Charlotte! We hope you have had a wonderful time celebrating.
National Hugging Day!
Share the love this weekend as January 21st is National Hugging day! Cbeebies and Playtime PR have been working on a poll with happiness experts to discover why a hug is valuable to us all.
Did you know that a 7 second hug can release a happiness hormone? No neither did I, but it can make you smile and blow away those moody cobwebs. I know that I will be hugging everyone today to shake off this cold weather. They also found that the celebrity we most want to hug is one of our favourite mums, Holly Willoughby from This Morning.
Cbeebies knows all to well the benefits of a great hug. Their BAFTA award winning show Hey Duggee encourages children to embrace hugging in every episode with a good old #DuggeeHug. It’s the perfect end to the fun activities they get up to at The Squirrel Club.
So what makes a hug perfect to you and which celebrity would like a nice warm hug from? Let us know and don’t forget to check out Cbeebies #DuggeeHug on Twitter this weekend!
Happy National Hugging Day! *hugs*

Royal Christening 06/07/2015
Yesterday (July 5th) marked the christening of Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana in a low-key and very private ceremony. The princess, who was born in May, arrived at the church in a vintage pram, used by the Queen for two of her own children.
St Mary Magdalene in Sandringham was also the church in which Princess Charlotte’s late grandmother, Diana Princess of Wales was christened in back in 1961. For royal fans, this sentiment towards Diana gave her a chance of being a part of her granddaughter’s life.
The christening also gave us a chance to finally find out who had been chosen to be godparents for the youngster. The Honourable Laura Fellowes was chosen as one of the godmothers. As one of Princess Diana’s nieces, it became another fitting tribute. Joining her in the godparents duties are James Meade and Thomas van Straubenzee, two close friends of Prince William.
The final two godparents are Sophie Carter, a friend of the Duchess and all her cousin, Adam Middleton.
As ever though, the Duchess of Cambridge’s outfit was one of the highlights with her outfit being mainly formed by her go-to designer brand, Alexandra McQueen.
